Ari Chanen PhD is Founder and Principal at AI Ari, an international applied AI/ML consultancy currently exploring novel AI solutions in fintech and other fields. Previously, as Vice President of AI at Strategic Education Incorporated (SEI), an international, higher education services firm with a $2B+ market-cap, Ari defined, developed and executed SEI’s first homegrown AI and machine learning initiatives, helping over 80K students achieve degrees. Prior to his role at Strategic Education, Ari spent six years at MITRE Corporation developing AI, natural language processing (NLP), and speech recognition tools that improved aviation safety for the FAA. He also spent more than a decade in Silicon Valley at Oracle and with a speech recognition startup.

Ari has been working in AI for more than two decades, combining a background in linguistics and computer science with a BS and MS in Computer Science from MIT and a PhD from University of Sydney.
